Adult Development and Aging

K-State Research and Extension Adult Development and Aging programming enriches the lives of older Kansans, adults with disabilities, and their families by addressing health and wellness needs through research-based education. Engaged, secure, and healthy individuals benefit families and communities.

Alzheimer's Disease

1/3 of our seniors currently die with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia, and those numbers are only expected to rise in coming years. In conjunction with the Alzheimer’s Association chapters in Kansas, K-State Research and Extension will be on the leading edge of educating Kansans about the disease, the benefits of early detection, and more – after all, everyone with a brain is at risk for Alzheimer’s.
